Not going down doesn't make you NOT a squid. And do you only keep a bike for a year at a time? The money that I "wasted" NOT riding my bike in the snow is money that I DIDNT spend on a NEW bike after that one A. got wrecked. or B. corroded to ****.

Winner.

If you cant respect ones choice then I cant respect you Junior. I will be stupid and have a death wish over my head, but its my choice. . I understand the concern or hatred directed towards those who are stupider or different than you but we all wake up and make our own decisions. Mine happens to be riding everyday, yours may not, but in NC snow is a rare occurrence and i can deal with 20 degree mornings(I wish you would have asked me what the dangers are in the winter here instead of being an *******, I dont live in a big northern city like you). My commute is only 20 minutes to school and work so it dosent bother me. Telling others that they are going to die and what to write on their tomb is, well you know what it is. Having a motorcycle is supposed to be fun and this is fun right now and it probally wont be in a few years. Im not preaching, Im simply telling you why what you wrote is wrong. I wrote this because i thought you need an explanation and to understand where i am coming from and to speak for others like me.

this is what i feel like when any thread is about safety or choices made by people.

Aaaaaand this one is winding down. So I'll have the final word (unless another mod or admin chooses to add). And I'll use my Moderator voice too

The official stance on this forum is Safety. We do not promote unsafe riding be it stunting or speeding on public roads. Or riding when it's not safe to do so. If a person feels it's safe for themselves to riding at -32F in whiteout conditions, that's fine. FOR THEM. But goading others with your "manliness" will get shut down.

And if we have to take the dead horse and beat people over the head with it, we will if it gets the point across to a new rider about being safe
