how cold is too cold?
Cold affects tire traction. The older the tires, the harder they become, the longer they take to warm up and the less they flex. Cold affects the body and reaction time. Cold affects road conditions.
It's nothing about being man enough. It's about good sense and staying safe. If you're really man enough you can say "Hell no!" and not feel like you're losing face. So...
Hell no!

It's upsetting that there is more than one of you.. Especially on this respectable forum.
Coldest I rode was the mid to high teens...little too cold for a long ride...but went out long enough to get the bike to operating temperature and filled it at the gas station.
I love my bike. I love Riding. I love CBR's and I love CBR Forum but I hate to say this. If you
(1) Don't ride in slight rain
(2) Temperature a little below freezing
(3) Blah Blah Blah
YOUR NOT MAN ENOUGH!
Sell your bike! Seriously!
There is no fun in spending $10,000 on something that your gonna use for only 3 months but thats just me.
Sometimes weather can change very fast but, a really good selection of gear and extra layering will keep you warm even in the worst weather ever. Keep riding!

I wonder if the people with the not-man-enough mentality actually have cold weather like us Northerners experience.
BTW another big reason for not riding in this time of year: salt. I don't pay $10k for a toy for it to rust a couple seasons in.

Right now it's 55 in Oregon, I'll ride into the 30s but way more carefull.
I feel bad if it sits more than a week, we just get alot of rain.
OEM tires suck upgrade as soon as possible, I've spun the stock tire
shifting to fourth in the dry 70 degrees. Bike rides way better in bad
weather with good tires.

My tires aside, I'll answer the OP's original question: it's too cold to ride when it's no longer safe to do so.
And that means taking in consideration road conditions which deteriorate rapidly in cold weather (potholes and craters appearing overnight), have been treated with salt / sand for ice and are subject to black ice conditions. It also means taking in consideration your body's condition (tire and lose heat quicker), how the cold will affect your reaction time and affect your fine motor skills.
Right now a person could slap new tires on my bike and offer me $100 and I still wouldn't take my bike across the Ben Franklin Bridge or ride further than the gas station (which route I drove earlier today and know where PennDOT / PGW / PWD have jacked up the road).
Nothing like hitting a 20' stretch of below freezing steel plates covered with salt being used to temp patch a water line repair to completely waste $10k worth of bike too

I did, and i olny paid 4k for my bike and its the only vehicle i have, so if anyone has a nice car they dont want i would be happy to take it off their hands, but till then ill be the dumbass on the yellow crotch rocket while its snowing
Why the hell did you pay four thousand dollars on a bike instead of a car to drive?
