Took her for her M.O.T. this morning and she failed no biggie though, kinda knew she would, was just hoping I could put off the work I know she needs untill weather turns reeeealy sh1tty

So whipped out the old knackered rear shock, which was in shocking condition I know my whit knows no bounds

At the same time I ripped out the swing arm, (which has been looking a bit shabby), for a bit of a re-paint. While I was at it I painted all the rear shock linkages and the exhaust shrouds for good measure.

Tomorrow the front forks are coming out again for the third time! Serves me right for being a cheap skate, do it properly do it once. Mind you I did score a new pair of fork tubes a couple of months ago for £80 normally £95 each!!

So those babies will be going on, along with new fork seals, I think I can probably do this job in my sleep now

Also got a pair of used but nearly new OEM front discs to go on at the same time.

Trying to swing a 25% discount on a new Hagon rear shocker, then I'll put her back together and see how many spare bits I have left

Sprock,
Will any bars off any VFR do or are there particular years I need to be looking at. Is there much drama with the throttle cables etc being to short. I had a little trouble with the BB putting on some bar risers but they worked in the end. I'm gonna get some VFR bars off fleabay. Thanks in advance.

I just got back from a 1200km trek over the last 3 days on the old girl. She performed very well but I developed a handlebar shake at 80km/h. I've either thrown a wheel weight and the front wheel is out of balance or the head stem bearings need replacing. Will try and get that sorted this week. Hoping its just the wheel out of balance but prepared to do the bearings if need be.

Thanks Indy,
Yeah I had never been there before so was something new for me. Very nice windy sections on either side of those caves. Except for the tourist bus that tried to kill us on the way out it was great......lol.
