Your very welcome... Just installed it. Fyi for everyone, the selector clashes with the frame... You have to reuse the stock extension. I didn't though

Personally, I think that angle/postition is fantastic! Now time to mask that "void", and get the rest of the plastics on, so we can see the whole dealio!

Oh, and, I cant tell for sure in the pic, but are my eyes tricking me, or is there a little bit of subframe visible below the tail?
I realize that if it is, you're probably going to be working that out, I was just curious if that's what I'm seeing.

Good eye. Yeah thats been my nemesis from the get go. I wanted as little subframe as possible, I.E. NONE lol. That just doesnt seem to be an option at the moment. so I have less then a quarter inch just at the bottom where the mount will be. As for the rear, I plan to cut, bend, and weld it up. If I move it up about a half inch it will line up perfectly with the extension for the taillight bracket and rear fairing support. I COULD cover that bit of subframe, but it would drop the tail an equal proportion. Not sure if I want to do that. But a benefit is no cutting and welding on rear....... thoughts?

Well, your angle looks really good - what would be ideal, is if you were able to drop the entire tail plastic, like, straight down in equal amounts, front and rear, to where the rear "sticky-outy" bit of the subframe was covered, AND the front pointy bit of the plastic was directly covering the lower subframe member in the front, just behind where it joins the frame.
Since you've already got a lot of space between the rear tire and the tail plastic, you ought to be able to get away with decreasing that gap, and keep it looking good, but of course, it's hard to tell without seeing it, and the other thing to consider is, if you did do this, will things still look good with the relation of the tail to the rest of the bike's lines, like the tank and so on.

Now, this might all be irrelevant, if the upper bars in the subframe will prevent you from moving the whole tail down in this fashion... this is probably why a lot of guys end up creating a new subframe altogether, which is probably what I would do, just to simplify the process, and have it exactly how I want it.

Yes and no. I can move the whole bit down exactly like it is. May have to trim the area behind the back of the seat but that's no biggie... Give me an hour to get home and we will have a look. That's originally how I wanted it. Have to extend fill panels even more but I really want the subframe gone

I think it's lookin' pretty good... covering that front bit of lower subframe is great, cuz it just doesn't look right if you're above it or below it, and it looks like you got a little more coverage the rear bit that's sticking out.
Honestly, at this point, if it were me, I would cut off whatever necessary in the rear to get the subframe totally hidden, and get the other plastic rollin', so you (and us ) can start to see the big picture.

Here's what I'm working on this weekend... I'll have it on the road Monday evening, hopefully.

I'm pretty happy with it where it is... I agree think I'll cut the rear and keep it moving.
On another note, is that a big dog? The measure of a true rider is the appreciation of all things two wheels. Very nice looking bike. I'm even a Lil jealous lol. Finally got to take my bosses street glide for a ride last week.... Talk about a comfortable ride....

Without a doubt, I have some appriciation for all bikes, just with an emphasis on sport bikes, cafe racers, street trackers, and old vintage cruisers, both English and American.
It is indeed a Big Dog, made right here in my city - it's a '95 Big Dog Vintage Classic... I'm anxious to get it running - it's been sitting for 6 years!
