94 F2 project
Yeah, I'm partial to sport bikes so I understand. Six years huh? Wow.... It'll be well worth the time and effort when you het to crack the throttle and cruise down the road I'm sure. For sitting six years though it looks like it's in great shape.
Quick question. I've tested the RR and stator, all is good. I've noticed however, the plug for the stator, by the rear mc, gets extremely warm very quickly. This normal? Never really noticed it before. Also, RR is grounded through wires and not the case correct? As far as I can tell its the gsxr RR. Was there when I bought it and I moved it for my tail swap.
Well been awhile since I updated. Guess Ill show what I got done yesterday. Think I'm just gonna ride her for a bit see how things go. I'm debating whether to continue with the cheetah fairings or just ordering some new ones. I'm not too impressed with the fit finish of them to be honest. Just depends on what my budget and my time are going to look like during off season.

The front needs to go back about a quarter inch to line up where I want the side fairings. Also have almost a half inch to build up between the headlights for them to be flush like stock. I know its a conversion, and therefore gives me "liberties" in certain areas which I fully intend to use, but I don't want it looking thrown together when I'm finally finished.

Managed to fit the stock cluster int here and retain full lock to lock turn. Just removed the black cover which was busted anyway. Itll work until I can choose an aftermarket.

The tail brackets in progress. They support the weight of a person, solidly mount the tail, and are relatively light. Wasnt as hard as I thought once I got rolling.

And theres the tail. I dropped it down to cover the lower subframe bar. I didnt want it showing. Means I'll have to make a larger cover but not big enough that I think anyone will notice unless you look.

And the rear shot. The plate is not exactly straight. not a big deal, itll bend easy enough. Will mount the windshield today when I get home and take her out for a ride. Excuse the quick rattle can paint job. looks better then the gray primer. That wasnt even prepped right. Alright as usual comments, questions, feedback accepted and encouraged.
oh and the brick is there cause my dirt carport is sloped, helps keep the bike somewhat level

Took her out on a 110 mile round trip to work. First time really riding in a few years. She ran good, still have some carb tuning to do, but other then that what a blast. Oh yeah, got soaked on the way home. Ain't that something. First time riding more then a few miles in years and I pick the day do the afternoon thunder storms. Welcome to south east Georgia... Totally worth it though...
Again!!!!! Wait for clear weather to ride and what happens? The day I ride as soon as I'm at work, bam! Thunderstorm....... Just my luck. Time to look for rain gear and a water proof tank bag. Ugh
That's the way things have been here this season... we've had more rain so far this Summer - over double the precipitation - than what we had in the Spring!
I've been riding the Big Dog, and I'm getting highly annoyed at having to re-polish the chrome so much, as a result of getting "caught out" in the rain, most of the time when there's been no call for rain in the forecast!!

Oh so do I my friend. However, the problem is, I love the acreage and privacy. Just told the misses that we willbe moving to a paved road in the near future.... Only with acreage too
Been awhile since I've posted. Been riding her when I can. Definitely need to get a jet kit. With the heat of the afternoon and the return ride home, I can tell shes leaning out. Not good. Finally decided to fix the po attempt to raise it back to stock. I'm gonna lower her. I got a good deal on a pro tek lowering link, under 50 shipped brand new, so I figured why not. The po, one of them, decided to raise it back to stockish and used a regular old piece of square tubing bolted to the shock and welded to the lower mount.
Well in my preride check, I noticed one of the welds broke loose. Yeah I shoulda fixed it from go, but the season was slipping away from me. So thats this weekends project. Of course pics will follow. Also in the planning stages of my winter projects. Gonna try to do alot of changes. We will see how it goes....
