uploading it to my "cheap alternatives" album right now, it probably looks like a cluster f**k to some people but I know exactly what's running to what and that it works lol. Also uploading a pic of the tail light setup I put together for $10, again not pretty but she works perfectly

CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners - hillbilly86's Album: cheap alternatives
Here's the link to that album, also on my brake light setup it's zip tied in the picture but I bought the bolts today to do it right, just didn't get back from riding till just as the sun was setting

I pulled my stick coils and put my stock coils back on today. I've been fighting a misfire at low rpms lately after the engine gets nice and hot and after ensuring it wasn't air or fuel I turned to my spark. It seems to idle fine now even when I run as hot as I can get it.

Kind of a bummer really. I really liked the stick coil mod and when it ran good it ran really good! I'm going to check the individual coils for the correct resistance; could be that the '05 CBR 1000 they came off of was having ignition problems too. I'm also going to check all my soldering/wiring again. At least I have it running nice and happy with the stock ones again! After my recent re-jet and tossing on a new K&N it really does pull hard.

Got my alternator back in this morning before work thanks to
Sebastionbear!!

Got a little angry last night when trying to get it in. Quit smoking a few days ago and ive been sick so add that together with a sarcastic roommate and I now have a fist sized peep hole in my bedroom door... OOPS! Oh well. Calmed down last night, didn't smoke a cigarette and got the alternator back in so I cant complain. This are going well. Too bad I am still congested!

There is a thread on here talking about upgrading the coils to stick coils. It recommends the use of 929 coils (equal resistance). Heres the link: https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-tos-8...ensive-139800/

I have a couple of edits to do on that thread. The coils were actually from a 1000rr - Sprock would have to confirm as he posted them to me It's the resistance that is important and quite a few types can be used.

And a minor change on the wiring diagram.

The computer all the data is on is steam powered and rarely gets fired up these days, so I'll have to go fire the boilers on it and edit the files.

Cheers, SB
