Got my new pod air filters in yesterday and installed them today. Took the bike for a couple runs and she's doing good, just gotta do a little tweaking to the carbs

That is one utilitarian looking CBR1000F Hillbilly,

Looks like it's straight from the Mad Max set.

Cheers, SB

was actually thinking about making it into a mad max bike with a single bobber seat, but that's just one of many ideas floating around in my head

That bike has stories to tell - yeah chopping the tail lose the inner fender for
a shortened version would make her a bit more fighter- ish

It's my only means of transportation at the moment so unfortunately I can't start chopping on her yet, I'm going thru the ideas in my head and when I park it this winter I plan on jumping into the internals and if I decide to chop on it some that's when I'll do it.

Cut up the front fairings a bit to make them flow a little better, then took a nice long ride to just enjoy the bike

My babies were left to themselves for ten days as I had to travel - so today they all
got a spin - warmed up the chains and lubed the hell out of them.

have a feeling the AGM Motobatt I put in the 90 way back needs a switch out for
something new - smart charger hits desulphate when attached - the regular not so
smart B&D charger just does it's usual and comes up green - tell tale for me tho'
is the Optimate consistently trying to desulphate it especially when it's not a wet battery

So to me when a smart charger goes for desulphate mode on an AGM battery it's
time to get a new AGM

I took a friend out this morning as he was interested in taking my 1000F for a ride with a view to buying one in the near future. He had his eye on a few on Ebay and a few other places. We did around 50 km and came back to McDonalds and had a coffee and a chat about it. We rang a guy who owned the one he was checking out on ebay. Long story short we are off to northern NSW tmrw to pick up this magnificent example of a CBR 1000F. What's even better is the price he got it for. I'll let him know about this forum and we will have another member on board. Well done Chris. You've scored a great bike !!! His wife is taking some convincing but he is still alive as he is blaming me at the moment.....I'm sure she will come looking for me this arvo......

It decided to dump the rain this morning on my way to work at which point I found out that water funnels directly to the outer pod air filters causing the bike to run like s**t.

So after I got home today I made up a shield for each side to fix the issue, quit raining before I got home so I've not gotten to test them out and make sure they work but they look like they should
