Last night I took out my Carbs as Carb 3/4 are overflowing, so Im suspecting gunked sping for float or something of that sort. Any suggestions will be taken !.Besides that, trying to get my headlight started and then degreese the entier bike from head to tail wipe it dry and then put few coating of clear coat on my custom paint job. (Btw i'm new here and wanna say hi!) I will try to upload pics once the bike is fully put together
You guyz are amazing and genius.

Ridden through torrential rain..... grinned a lot..... ridden in even more torrential rain.....grinned a lot more....... got home......upped the tick over from 500 RPM back up to normal..... washed her... put her to bed..... beer time. I'm sooooooooo happy with the new lease of life my CCT has given her. Like a life changing operation.
Time for some wine and an early night. Can't wait to ride again tomorrow and listen to the distinct lack of cam chain noise. It's bliss!!!!! And I'm the only one in the whole world that has this experience at the moment.......... He he!

Just had the same problem, but carb 1&2, some dirt in between the needle and
seat and a float that needed adjusting. Think that solved it. (hopefully, haven't
been able to start it yet due to other problems)

Pulled the carbs and set the air/fuel from 2 turns out to 2 1/2 turns. I didn't know my son timed me. He said 45 minutes from start to finish.

When it stops raining I'll take her for a spin.

Back on the road at last! After 6 years in storage and a service. It's as if she'd never been off the road! No cam chain noise for me either!

Also just re-covered the saddle, what a cufuffle, looks good in the end.

New tappet cover gasket.
Carbs on again, easier with Sprock's handcream on the boots - thanks.
A wooden leaver is the way to go, too !
Hopefully no more leaks !!
Sprayed "stone chip" paint on the radiator fairing to help with stone marks. Will see if it works.
I can't understand why they made the thing in two pieces anyway.....

On with the rest.............

Putting the auld 87 back together today - she's looking good. Next winter tho
I'll have to shoot the entire bike with new paint to get every panel to shade correctly.

two sets of stick coils and harnesses came in yesterday one for me and one for a
bloke downunder .

Hope to be riding the 87 tomorrow afternoon once I get the gravity fuel feed and
filter drop sorted just right - PM coming your way Kiwi !
