Maybe JBWELD appropriate sized washers and or custom made "L" & "Z" shaped light
alum brackets in behind Indy ? ! Might take a little adjusting to get them (fairings) to
sit firm but not "stressed" if you know what I mean.

The belly pan I'd recommend you use external washers on - as they did with the OEM
versions and you'll be painting to black anyhow so you won't see much down under.

My own 87 I ordered paint through Colorite today in PB-187M Winterlake Blue Metallic
(really a blue hued silver) so as to paint up the nose fairing next week. Getting there
with this 87 - hope to have her on the road for the big holiday July 4th

I'd do as Sprock suggests. Prevention always being better than cure.

Today I am going to finish the few small repairs to cracks/broken tabs on the fairing, refit it all, then transfer ownership, and then get her registered. I will post pictures when it is all finished/

After the alternator damper replacement, it starts on the touch of the button. I'm sooooooooooooo excited!!!

There will be a run on the weekend as my partner has her learners permit and we have to get her license sorted prior to 5 weeks in Vietnam on bikes in October.

Cheers, SB

Thumbs up minor maintenance

Well, a few tweaks so the bike is ready for France tomorrow :-)

New metzler rubber front & rear - wanted the extra stick for those roads, CBR1000F wheel rim decals added, wash & polish (shiney shiney), minor repair to exhaust blow (1/8" inch hole), brake fluid change.

On th eferry tomorrow for 5 days of Le Mans racing and riding french A roads

Cheers

Rick

So, is the Ford logo up for grabs? Let me know before cb2cbr jumps on it. I think he was planning on sticking it onto one of those planes he has there.

Repaired my lower fairings - glass fibre - not too bad and a lot stronger than the original....
Busy with oil leak from tappet cover - crummy gasket
Then a full under - body power clean and she'll be good to go.....
