Got mine in the bike tonight. The bike had a slight bog if you laid into it from low rpm. That bog is gone. Sebastion is the man!!

Mine had a serious stumble until I re-jetted. After the re-jet and turning the air/fuel screw out 1/2 turn more I still had a slight bog. Just enough to drive me crazy. The sticks took care of that.

Did you notice the smoother idle? I'm not use to how smooth it is now. Sounds like the idle is at 2,000 but it is holding at a very steady 1,000. Last night I was checking the balance and turned the idle down to 500 for fun and it was still very smooth.

I didn't notice the idle but I have a pretty descent float bowl leak so I didn't let it idle for to long.

The wiring diagram was spot on and a big help. Thanks

Okay so just finsihed mine and on the 87 Hurricane..... great upgrade - fantastic
actually.... no more stumble and number four cylinder exhaust pipe - hotter than
July from the minute the minute she starts which is instantaneous.

Found some plumbing "tiptoe" rubber gaskets that do a great job sealing and securing
the sticks in the plug wells .....available at ACE Hardware Stores

Pic's in a few.... added ---- plus my artful harness all soldered up

And hey TBT - went with your serial wiring scenario - made perfect sense - awesome
thx man - you can tell the spark is super strong - idles sooooo smooth.

I put splitfire SF 416B plugs in it - new old stock - those things are great - big bright blue spark

edit : just in from riding her, major 's suffice as to say can't wait to get these in the other bikes
it's an amazing yet simple relatively cheap improvement to overall performance.

What are the physical dimensions of the CBR sticks? I read on an RR forum that Suzuki sticks are the go to on the 929 and other Honda bikes. Research has shown that Suzuki uses the same stick on all of their models. Honda has seemed to use different ones for different models. Suzuki coils are just as plentiful and around the same price as the CBR1000 coils but this may broaden the search for suitable units.

The car guys are using Honda coils as well. Found some MB, Ford Probe, Mazda and even SVT Mustang threads about modding to stick coils, in particular CBR1000 coils. So demand may be up and supplies may be dwindling

Aaaaaaarrrrrgh!!! The suspense is killing me.

Can't wait for the coils to turn up.......

Aussie post are still probably feeding and watering the horses prior to hitchin' them to the wagon for parcel delivery

It's rained for the last two days here , and would've been perfect weather for sitting by the fire constructing the loom/plug

Cheers, SB

The last thing (a book) that Margot shipped to Australia, took 9 days from the PNW. So you can use that as your reference
