Stick coils for the CBR1000F?
This thread has got me quite interested in "Sticking it to the old Girl."
That aside, has anyone considered a CD library thread? God knows I'm not clever enough to think of some of the brilliant stuff I've seen/learned here, but if there was a good write up with pics, I'd be willing to send a return postage CD mailer to any of the far reaches of our membership for a permanent personal copy to be stored on my computer. Maybe even toss in a jingle of coin to buy a pint or two for the originator.
What got me on this train of thought is the CCT replacement thread (one of the first things I searched here). It had great pictures and now the text is there, but the pics are gone

Hey Wooferdog,
If you're happy to wait a few weeks, Sprock has located some stick coils for me and we are now in the process of paying/getting them to Australia. I did a very thorough "How to" when I did the stick coil mod on my Kawasaki GTR1000 including wiring diagrams.
I will offer to do one for the CBRforum PDF it (with photos) and post it online.
Time, grasshoper, is all I need! (Oh! and of course the stick coils).
Cheers, SB

I have watches on some coils and looms on ebay. This will be an over winter project for me. I saw the Kawa post. That's what I'm looking for! A personal copy of the Honda fit would be great.
Sprock is a brick.
If I can be of any assistance to the Down-under crew as far as shipping from the West Coast US, let me know. Margot ships a lot and gets good international rates. She knows the ins and outs and can quote the best method. So if you can score an item here with free shipping within the Sates, we can forward it to you
She also does quite nice floral arrangements, don't you think?

Now Woof, you are sure you spelled that correctly!!!
Truthfully - he is a dead-set, dingo lickin' legend

Artistic score 9.5/10

I picked up some '07 CBR1000RR sticks for $26 and a '06 loom for $16 for a total of $44.00 USD shipped. You will need to match loom to sticks.
It didn't take long to do the switch. Most of the time was spend gathering up supplies and trying to figure out how to keep debris out of the plug wells. I ended up using rubber grommets and rubber washers from Lowe's. They turned out to be way better than the factory Honda ones that I never did like.
WOW! Is the bike smooth now. Haven't had it out due to working on other bike before sundown but she cold starts real good now. Had her up on the center stand to wax the chain and she is so smooth now that the chain doesn't whip in gear while waxing. My son made a comment that it sounded different and I tole him that I needed to adjust the idle but when I looked she was purring at 1,000 rpm. She is silky smooth now and can handle the ethanol with the hotter spark.
I would like to thank all involved for the info on the sticks. Thanks again form my bike she is loving them.
Winter project ? What are you a sloth???? LOL
