Thanks for the translation some of us got it the 1st time
that was some seriously dangerous stunt you where pulling

I was reading motorcyclist the other day and the editor wrote a column on how he liked crashing. The adrenaline rush he got from sliding with full gear on a track and walking away from it. lm as much an adrenaline junkie as the next guy but that's just retarded. granted crashing on the street is more dangerous and completely different

I had a pretty good wreck last year. I was coming around a left hand sweeper at a pretty good pace; probably about 65 from what I remember and at the crest of the hill and apex there was a good sized spot of gravel on the road that came from someone hitting the shoulder kicking that crap all over the place (country road in boonyville). Back end came out and I like a dumbass closed the throttle instead of giving it more. I ended up highsiding and I got thrown off with some serious force. Went airborne for a little while and landed going down an embankment and tumbled for what seemed like forever. Ended up hitting a rusty *** barbwire fence and it tore into the back of my neck pretty good - it looked worse than it was, but it was a gash about 6" long straight across the back of my next towards the right side. Didn't require stitches since it wasn't deep enough, but it was plenty wide! I landed right in the middle of the fence poles, which were standard barb wire poles; 1"x1" angle iron. If I would've hit the poles, I'd have been all kinds of messed up. The bike ended up on the other side of the fence by flying over it and missed me by maybe 15-20 feet, so I got lucky there too. The bike never even hit the fence...fence wasn't bent or anything, so it bounced around quite a bit.
In the end, I only cracked a few ribs (from my cell phone being in my jacket pocket) and the cut across my neck from the fence. I was sore for about 2 weeks. Took an hour or more to get in and out of bed. Couldn't poop for about 3 or 4 days. Couldn't **** until the next day. I just layed around eating vicodin. I still thank my lucky stars though that I got away so clean. Had on full gear too. I was always a pretty conservative rider even before, but now I ride the 1kRR likea cruiser on the streets.
The bike was an F4i and it got totaled. The only part of the bike that was untouched was the right side. The right side fairing resides hanging in the garage with a clock in it to serve as a reminder. The forks were bent, singarm bent, frame bent and the tach was permanently stuck at 4k rpm for some reason. I never even bother starting it up again or trying.
My accident was in Oct '06 and I didn't get another bike until March '07. Only one friend was telling me not to get another and said I was crazy. Everyone else didn't seem to mind.

I had a nice easy wreck on my bike after 500 miles. I got into some gravel and .... Anyway, full gear on, a small bruise on my hip. I left a few pieces of my bike behind, but rode it away. There was maybe one other close call I had, but none of the times on my bike did I feel like I was gonna crash and wind up in the hospital, my scary times are usually slow speed brain farts. My town has quite a bit of biker deaths (no helmet law), but in all honesty, the cage drivers here are pretty careful and considerate when it comes to bikes.

Glad to hear you always gear up. I actually stoped pulling out of the gas station just before my crash to zip up my jacket. I dont even want to imagine what would have happened if I had forgoten to zip it up. It had happened to me once before and once you are up to speed it is imposible to zip the thing up, not to mention dangerous to try.
