RE: People that own bikes and don't ride them-Why?
I've had my 06 F4i since may 08' bought with 0 miles and have 1600 on it now. Trust me i wouldhave way more then that if the aparments i live in would permit bikes but since that is a ghey rule here i keep it at my parents garage and only ride on nights and weekends.. LOVE riding, actually mad i dont ride more then i do..everytime i get on that bike i just falll into a dream. No lie!
I personally think that the mileage on the bike determines theindividuals passion for riding...
(or maybe another theory is that people who buy bikes and dont ride have become scared of riding from family and friends stories of their opinions) i get sick sometimes of the general public and their thoughts to bike and riding, alot of ignorance outthere, and just horror stories to tell..

I've got two bikes and don't take them out at all.. I wrecked one and the other is torn down.
My friend owns a early 90's gsxr and he never rides the thing but hes always wearing a riding jacket and talking about bikes whenever I run into him. I don't think hes taken that thing out in over a year now.. but then again hes got an 08 gsxr that hes on 24/7.. people have other things they do.. don't get on their case about whether or not they get on their bikes enough and just worry about your own happiness. Screw it.

My best friend let me sit on his 91 CBR and I instantly wanted one. I bought a 97 r6 and wrecked it. Then I joined the military and went over seas for 3 years. It would have took way to much money to get everything to ride so I held off until I got back to the states. First thing I wanted for myself was a CBR when I got to NM. Laid it down and it will be finished shortly. That was a little off topic, now back to the topic.
My friend that got me into riding does not his as much anymore. He works 2 jobs and it has mechincal issues. Carb problem mainly, bent front rim and bald rear tire. It always needs to be painted. I was his main riding partner, then I moved away. He has a few other friends that have bikes but they do not ride that much. He has talked about selling it for the past 2 years and has done nothing to sell it. Hopefully once I get mine done, he will let me work on his and use my hook ups to get it running right/painted. Only time will tell.
