If they're paying money and keeping people employed, more power to them. I ride mine and it's for my personal enjoyment. They like to keep theirs in a garage where they won't get rashed, chipped, or rack up miles. I can understand both views.

well, if that's his reason then so be it right? he bought it to pose! good enough!
in the grand scheme of things...his purchase helped feed someone family for at least a night...or someone's crack addiction...but whatever it doesn't matter, it kept the economy going!

I mean I'm not losing any sleep over it... I screwed the guy over hard on a cell phone cuz he wanted the newest and best with all the features... might as well have given me 200 bucks outta his pocket.

That doesn't change the fact that he's a douchebag.

WOW some of you really got offended by this post LOL! I was just giving my opinion on how i feel about people that have bikes and don't ride. What people do with there money is there own biz and that's fine by me. I was more refering to people like the guy i work with that on every dress down day at work he has a Harley shirt on and talks about his bike, but hardly rides it.

I'm the type of person that really gets into stuff i love. I did have the bike out last night and it was fun for a few, but then it got cold and i was just riding to ride-not for fun so i put it away. I know there is a place and time for everything.

See i don't want a family so i can always do the stuff i love when I want to do it. Some people love having a family and that's cool to. I work hard and play even harder-that's my life.

lemme clarify...i'm not offended nor defending those who don't ride much yet have bikes, nor posers, etc...yea i make comments about posers, etc...i'm just in awed by people who seem to make a fuss about others' decisions that don't affect them whatsoever.
riding is bomb...kids are the bomb...both awesome in their own ways...and both painful in their own ways...but in the end, it's all about the immaterial and not the material.
experience it then decide if it's for you or not.

I have a '94 F2 with just over 21K on the odometer. The only reason it didn't have more was because the owner died 5 yrs ago from cancer. I had one motivating factor to buy the bike, my 96 mile daily commute. I don't have the strong urge to go out riding all of the time, but that may be due to the fact that it doesn't start reliably enough when it's cold (Drained the battery twice the past 2 days). So, basically, I've only used it for my commute only a handful of times over the past few months.

Yea might have jumped off the edge a lil because i know people that would call someone a "not-a true-rider" and the next day or week i hear that guy that was called names layed his bike down trying to stunt and hurt himself. Around where im at, well im sure all of cali there are alot of YOUNG noobs born every second and i just hate to see them hurt trying to ride out of their comfort zone and stunting when they should be practicing on their basic braking skills. Im sorry sore subject for me because im an emt. And have had to pick up alot of guys that were hurt doing things they shouldn't be doing. And when i asked them why and was it worth it? They would say i was trying to prove that i was a rider and definately not worth it. These young guys just don't have the smarts and i just feel that i have to fight for some of these guys cause im tired of scraping them up of the highways and ish.

But i apologize bumble bee hopefully you understand my view, just hoped that your last post was your first, because in your initial one you just quickly talked about the harley guy. Not about your casual days at work and all.

Ride safe buddy.

I haven't ridden my 929rr in over a month, I took it apart to paint plastics, while I was at it decided to fix the oil pan gasket, then got real busy with school and work and haven't had time to finish the bike, and even if I did I can't ride it to school cause I have to carry too much crap with me, and my work requires me to drive a car. That will change in 8 days though, once I am done with school, I'll be all over it.
