RE: People that own bikes and don't ride them-Why?
It doesn't bother me any more than people driving Hummers bother me. I may think it's ridiculous, but hey thanks so much for contributing to the economy and helping the folks selling them.
I have a friend from Europe and he rides a monster BMW. He is constantly on this thing, regardless of weather. And no matter when I see it, it looks beautiful. He said that you are either passionate or you are not, nothing can change that. There is nothing wrong with a casual rider, but some folks just adore being out on a bike. I rode for a couple hours today without getting off the bike. Through residential, high speed interstate and a little stop and go. I didn't really care, it was just so nice to have blue sky over me and a bike humming under me.

4 pages ? nearly ... DTD
I actually think that most people that by bikes are not really into them at all..
(when taken into account of the number actually bought each year )
They are bought for show and the image that they represent..
Once the novelty wears off they tend to then not give them much though except for the odd occasion.... Yer a bit of a waste , but I think all to true guys ..
The true enthusiaust will , like me I suppose , even drool over them when not ridding them and that's after 30 years of ridding the buggers ..
When the weather is ****ty , or I am busy doing other stuff at home , I still walk past my old ride and near drool from the mouth
yer I am a sick puppy
any excuse to whack the key in her and I am gone !!!!
These days I probably do not ride as much as I might want to , but that's mainly because I work out of a van, that I have to use every day for work ( plumbing)
I only average around the 300-500klm per week these days ... which is way down from my average years ago... but as I do not use her every day to commute ..it is not too bad I suppose..

The first person that doubts you're a real biker gets a knuckle sandwich with a side of fist. I have a feeling that's not something I'd have to deliver on.

That meal you have on offer would be hard to swallow I think ... most will not ask for it ..
thanks again

I'd put that on there in two days
But if you like it every now and then, that's cool
....but you could always do that on a 98 smokin joes....

RE: People that own bikes and don'
count me with the posers! yes im a loser!
My bike is not my only FUN form of transportation, 98 TransAm M6, or 70 Chevelle or 71 Camaro or 02 Avalanche. Got my bike in may 08 and as of today have only put on 1500 miles. Gas money for all vehicles gets to be expensive at times, mod money goes to one here an there. The bike is not my only thing to concentrate on, even with no kids, no girlfriend i still dont have all the time in the world.
I love my bike and cars as well and have been debating recently as to selling a car or 2. The 98 TransAm is the only vehicle i pay for all else is paid off. So yes thank you for reminding me that im a loser.
