I ride motorcycles because:
- Its the funnest activity ever
- The addrenaline of high speeds and sharp curves
- Getting to race other people
- Cruisin w/ the girl
- Relieves stress

soon as my dad put me in a go-kart when i was 7 ,that was it......anything we had, my power wheels, the neighbors ridin mower, anything....i pushed it as fast as it would go.....
i have always been drawn to the fact that despite what i do and despite what i think, i am never really totally in control...at least not 100% of the time ....being on the edge...pushing it just that much farther then you think you can and making it through...feels like i am alive and actually doing something!!

Riding requires you to concentrate on the ride. Which means that all other thoughts can be pushed to the back of your mind. Everything goes away except the ride: the wind blowing, the smells of the open air, the exhilirating sound of the exhaust as you accelerate out of a turn. The comraderie of fellow bikers at the rest stop, each of us trying to one-up the other about the performance of our bike or of ourselves.
It is very special. Nothing else comes close.

Im not a new rider but a new poster to this forum, I have been here for a while now and I thought I would post on this subject, as I get this question a lot.
Riding for me can be summed up in 7 f’s.
Freedom, to go where I want and when I want, not having to argue about I want to go there or I thought where going here.
Fear, pushing your limits and riding that thin line. Knowing what you and your bike can do but just asking what if I push a little bit more?
Fame, you may not be famous, but just pull up next to a car with a bunch of little kids. Look at there faces while they check out your bike, smiling and pointing, the look on there faces as you wave and roll the throttle on, like your some kind of god.
Fun, like someone else said, it the most fun you can have with your pants on!
Family, if you came from a riding family like me then you know the bond that it creates, dinners family get together etc, all filled with talk of bikes and stories of rides gone by.
Females, the draw of a shinny bike on a summer day is a drug for them.
Fast you can never get there to early
And last but not least….
Friends, I have made some good friends on rides and have lost a few as well. But nothing brings out the best in people like a Bike. The camaraderie among your fellow riders, you will never experience that with a car. You guys here are all proof of that. I have learned alot from you guys and I would like to thank you.
