You may be getting a drive letter conflict that occasionally occurs when using USB flash drives or pens. I am not sure if this is how the DVR works, but it is worth a look. I know some high end DVRs have Cat-5 connections that is a shared network drive you can drag and drop from.

Do this:
Right Click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage...'

This will open up the Computer Management Console

On the left, select 'Disk Management', this brings up all of your current disk drives as well as their relative information, including drive letter. On the lower right look for a removable drive. Such as this pen drive.

Check to see if there is a letter assigned at all, or if it is assigned the same letter as another drive. This normally happens on mapped network drives that dont know something else is trying to use that assigned letter, thus not letting you see it. If there is a conflict change it like this:

Right click on the Disk #(the removable one), and select 'Change Drive Letter and Paths':

Click 'Change':

Now select a different drive letter that is not in use and click 'OK'.

You can now close the Computer management console and the drive should be accessible from My computer, that is if these DVRs even work this way.

Hope this helps.

Damn that sucks! Now should I erase Pink Floyd's "The Wall" or Red Hot Chili Peppers live in HD?
