Default RE: conceal carry

If people wanna go and shoot somebody, sorry, but they are. CCP or not. Thats just the truth. Ive known a decent amount of people in my time that have owned guns that couldnt do so legaly either being underaged or because of a record...they still carried. Knowing that, i got my ccp.

That argument that it gives some people the ***** to do whatever, pretty much think that is bs. It might give a small amount of people going after their ccp some testis but the majority of us are law abiding citizens that want to take advantage of our rights that were given to us in the constitution. Even without a ccp, those cats with the lack of fortitude to take care of business without a gun would still end up going takin care of ****e with some other weapon...i personally like the fact that i can defend myself from such puswa's.

And jules, sorry you all got bad enough problems over their in europe that you all thought you had to take away your own last defenses but thats just not how it works over here hun. Hell, our constitution was formed to protect our citizens from your ancestorial countrymen and being armed was one of the big things that they decided on so that we would have to put up with anybody elses crap that tried to push us around, whether they be a foreign or domestic asswipe.

Now, im gonna jack this thread back to where it needs to be. Anybody got an idea for something a lil smaller than what i got (92fs berreta w/ 15 round mag) but that is still as smooth. This gun is crazy smooth and am not interested in something that has alot of kick, takes off from the shot imho.

As a CQC, CQB instructor by trade. I handle various types of weapons on a daily basis as well as going hand-to-hand and have a tendency to carry whenever possible have lived in states where it wasn't possible and have lived in states where it was. But based on my experience as a MCMAP instructor. I have the attitude it's not necessary to carry constantly and quite confident in the ability to disarm any individual who is within arms reach. Usually at some point in the beginning of instruction. I prove this point, and most individuals who enter this training program. Nowadays come from an experience background and maybe fully aware of the technique used to disarm them. But have yet to have anyone still have possession or control of a weapon. 5 seconds after I tell them to prepare for this. Those of you who may not remember or were not a member at the time. Here is a freebie I took away from a thug, way back I had the weapon check to make sure it wasn't reported stolen and have kept it .
The point behind this statement is even a trained professional. When encountering a equally trained opponent at close range 90% of the time will not prevail, and I'm willing to physically back that statement up as a matter of fact. I do weekly. So if you find it necessary to pull it maintain a safe distance and be prepared to squeeze around off. I personally carry a 10 mm, but professionally stake my life on the Precise Weapon Shop 45 or maybe the correct statement is used to

I hear ya with the Springfield I have an XD-9 capacity 16+1 FTW! Just went to the range the other day and my friends were amazed by how loud it is. I also shot my 380 which had not been shot in over 5 years but was oiled regularly and it is a cheaper model but it performed just fine but most of the time it is the nightstand weapon and the XD-9 is my open carry weapon.

Look into a Kahr PM9, tiny tiny auto that it 9mm. Out of a short barrel, the 9mm outperforms the .357 mag.in the same barrel length. Lots of folks discredit the 9mm, it got it's bad name from the cheap military ball ammo used by the majority when it was becomming popular. Now, given a wide choice of high performanceammo,(gold dot, speer lawman, Honady TAP and XTP/HP)it's up there with the 45acp, a long proven fight stopper. Now, don't want to hear a 45 vs 9mm argument, we all know a 9mm might expand but a 45 won't shrink yadda yadda yadda. I'm a huge 45 fan, but give the 9mm is credit. Anyhow, the Kahr PM9 is super small, sooo easy to conceal in a pocket and hold I believe 7rds, and maybe 8-9 with the finger groove grip extension, kinda lke the extenions on tiny glock magazines. I bought one after shooting a buddies I liked it so much, recoil is very manageable in the tiny pistol but, you know what they say, practice makes perfect....

ST good to hear you weighing in I'm not going to play devil's advocate because we're both on the same page as far as the 45 goes and I just got a hard on for the 10 mm cant help it. I personally just wouldn't carry a Beretta to a whorehouseOR anyplace else, nice ceremonial piece though.

BTW.
Did you get my PM

As a martial artist, I'll say that guns are great when used for home or area defense, but if you're being mugged, have fun pulling it out and taking off the safety while your mugger stands by and waits. At close range a gun is absolutely useless. At a range greater than a persons reach, then it's a great weapon to have.

I love all this weapons and technologies but it is totally an alien for me too (referring to Jul). Kinda scary seeing or knowing people with guns. Makes me to recall Mahatma Gandhi's achievement of getting independence for India without carrying a single weapon.

I understand your concerns. However, I would like to stay on topic. I just wanted to know how many fellow riders carry and what was gun of choice.
