WTF is your problem. Apparently, you know very little about the individuals picture, whom you're using as a joke for an avatar. Or maybe that's your kind of ****ed up, sarcasm, intelligence wise your most certainly not in the same league as Albert Einstein and apparently, you know very little about his immigration to this country. And apparently, you know very little about immigration to this country at all. If you've based your facts on your video. If this is your attempt to flame bait a individual you have found them Let the wholesale slaughter of bigotry and racists attitudes begin

I didn't start this thread to discuss views on who should carry or if you should carry. My attempt was to see who had same intrest.
I have a passion for guns ( small collection ) and enjoy shooting them. I just wanted to no if you carry , what was your favorite baby.

Hoooooooooooooo - Gunny's pissed off !
Guns don't kill people - PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.
Race/ethnicity has nothing to do with it.
A weapon of any kind is just that - a weapon, to be used at the whim of the owner.
Unfortunately, responsible and controlled use of weapons is really the key, which is often absent in weapon-related incidents.
I live in one of the worst countries in the world, crime-wise, and don't generally carry a gun.
Here, vigilance is the key - if you allow yourself to be placed in jeopardy, you'll probably need to use a weapon, but if you're careful you shouldn't generally need one.
I also see a direct correlation between education and the abuse of weapons. Testosterone also plays a major role, unless you're a career criminal, and they don't use a weapon unless it's absoluely necessary - just too much bother which they don't need.
So, maybe it's safe to say that if others believe you're vulnerable, you probably are.
Having said all that I'm still a firm believer in the right to bear arms.
Charlton Heston said it best....."From my cold dead hand"........
And my favourite weapon is whatever will get the job done with the least fuss - if that means an electric Gatling gun, so be it.

I can respect the attitude of a collector. And there are many on this board. But in this particular group, any mention of weapons, police, politics, or religion inevitably elicits the same tired response...guns are bad, FTP, Republicans suck, evolution isn't real...

I'm sorry your thread was railroaded, but it's simply a hot button item. I'm not even a cop and I want to taze the next inbred fool that says FTP. But I guess even children have to have an opinion.

Let me put you at ease here, your friendly neighborhood admin will be along shortly to either lock the thread or help put it back on topic but this is truly on topic. As a small collector unless you live in a utopia of gun lovers you should have realized you can't raise a narrow scope discussion. As you have tried to present here, without taking the broader perspectives into consideration if that was truly your intention. Maybe you should have posted this thread on a gun forum, where there would have been no negative feedback our discussion as to the right to carry... the first and second amendment walk handand hand. Sometimes to the death of those who fill the most passionate about either

I like the Glock.30 subcompact .45 for conceal carry. And a fullsize H&K USP .45 for not so concealed carry.

Unfortunately, I am older than most of you, when I was gun shopping (in the old days) common thought was that a revolver was more reliable because springs and such would fatigue or forget how to be sprung over time or when kept in a compressed state for most of its 'life' and therefore a gun in the nightstand or a gun rarely (as compared to police and military levels of usage and training)usedshould be a 6 shooter.

Is this not a concern anymore or was it never a concern?

wouldn't not riding all together better your odds...oh wait that's inconvenient because you like it. where's the data that supports your claim...The news? did they tell you things are more desperate or was it the homeland security advisory system? I think you're missing my point, carry your gun all you want but don't go and label anyone that doesn't cower in fear at the minute possibility something bad might happen a dumbass and if you do then you look awful hypocritical by not practicing that outlook in every facet of your life.
Dude I'm not going to trample this guys tread anymore (after this) arguing with you. I guess the news media dreams up all the mall, campus, church shootings, robberies, and home invasions. Maybe in small town Ohio, there's probably no need to carry anything, that's fine with me. I live in the outskirts of the murder capital of Florida (Jacksonville) and I work in the Jax area. Sure most killings are drug related and I'll probably never need it (I hope), at least I might have a chance with a teenage punk with a stolen gun looking to rob and shoot me for the $20 I have in my wallet.
Every other aspect of my life is none of your business really, weather I wear a helmet when I ride, seatbelt when I'm in a car, condom when I have sex. This treads about what is my perferred conceal carry piece. Have you ever thought about why violent crime is declining in some parts of the country? Could it be the fact that more and more states are allowing CCW? Maybe? I'm pretty sure it's not because people are starting to love each other more.
What makes you think I'm a weekend warrior? As stated above I live in the gunshine state, we can ride year round, and I do. So save that **** for someone who lives in snow country and only rides parts of the year. I put 26,000+ miles on my 05 600RR in under three years before I traded her last month.

'Friendly Neighborhood Admin' ... I like that And as such I willagain ask you guys to stay on topic. Trying to sway someone's view on an internet forum (and a bike site on top of that) is insane unless you just like to argue. If you feel a thread violates a forum rule then contact a member of the staff but don't feel obligated to reply just because you see a "buzzword".

P.S. And if possible, just quote the pertinent parts of a reply ... it gets to be a pain reading through all the stuff again and again.
