OK everybody, tomorrow is the big day....I have5 official entrants...

1) StuDog44
2) thisismyacct
3) RCR
4) cbrsix
5) shoortbuss

The rules have been explained to the entrants, which includes making a post on this thread if they should slip up which should include the date and time of your infringement. I was reading through some posts on since my last past, and it appears that a few people want in...but unless you have already payed or worked out an arrangement with me ahead of time, I cannot include you in this. If this is news to you and you still want in on this, then get a PM to me ASAP...Late entrants must still stop ALL NICOTINE usage at midnight tonight, and they have until midnight tomorrow to officially enter. If you smoke tomorrow and then decide at 11 you want in, don't bother...once again, this is the honor system, so please show some integrity people.

Here are the rules that have been agreed upon by the entrants...

1) You must smoke at least a half a pack or a chew a half can/pouch a day to qualify
2) YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB
3) This is a cold turkey quit, so no nicotine replacement such as the patch or gum. Doing this is no different than going from cigarettes to dip...you are still getting your fix, and the goal here is to break the addiction, not find new sources
4) If you slip up even once, return to the thread and confess
5) The winner is the last person to remain nicotine free, and they may do what they please with their winnings
6) If multiple people remain clean after 6 months, the money will be split amongst those people
7) The quit date is November 3rd
8) The cost is $20/person

The pot is $96.48 (paypal charged $0.88 per payment made to me). I am holding this money in my paypal account, and it is safe and secure there.

Best of luck to everybody! I didn't prepare as well as I would have liked to...I cut from a full pack a day to a half pack in the last 2 weeks, but it's gonna be hard to go cold turkey tomorrow.

Just a final though...I think this thread can also serve as a support group...even though this is a "competition," I want to see everybody including myself succeed, so let's use this as a place to share our experiences and get through the tough parts. Thanks for helping me bring this idea to life guys, and best of luck.

Thank YOU for throwing it out on the table. I probably would have just stuck with my half-assed effort to quit, but now I'm really gonna work at it.

Ok guys, I posted up lastnight saying I didn't think I could do it, and now I decided last minute to give it a shot... I've tried quitting a couple times before, and both times alcohol was what drove me to start again, but I've been drinking a lot less lately so why not. I'll send shoortbus a PM and get his paypal address.
