Well more bluntly top speed is just a giant pissing contest. And there's usually someone out there that can **** further than you.

I didn't buy my BMW for its top speed (which is obscene), its torque (Yolie will attempt to power up in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th before TC pulls her back down) or its acceleration (demoed by the vid above). Her top speed doesn't demonstrate my skill as a rider nor my skill as a mechanic. Any squid can hop on a s1k, pin the throttle and hold on for dear life. With the quick shift and the shift light, the squid could be half blind and outrun most vehicles. And BMW gets all the cred for the engine.

Showing Yolie wasn't to brag (did that in Sights & Sounds) but to illustrate the point: there's always someone faster. If it's a true mechanical concern about the bike's performance, it can be diagnosed long before 6th gear redline. But if this about validating the enhancement our wallets purchased, I'm gonna have to shut things down.
