When you see a radar gun with a speed indicator on the side of the road, do you speed up to see how fast you can go? I do! It's just asking for it if you ask me.

I don't know how accurate those are, but it seems my speed registers about 4 mph slower than my speedo, but I understand that is pretty common, eh?

 

I LOVE THOSE THINGS !!! I used one to set my speedo-healer ! Was a 25 mph street, so i didn't do 90, but i do if i see em on the hwy.

 

I've got one on the street that I live on. I'm not sure why because it is not an overly busy street...maybe they got it for me.

 

They might just be doing it cuz some (prob old) person called to complain about speeding. I thought the one on my street was for me too !! Showed up about a month after i moved in.

 

They put one of those in our subdivision and I was like "wtf mate" (end of the world quote). Whenever I see them I fly by them and they NEVER match my spedometer. My excuse is I just want to see what the actual speed is I'm going to I know if I'm speeding or going too slow. =) I can't help it though I speed everywhere I go it just seems too natural to be on a machine like this and not be going faster than everyone else. /shrug

If I see one on the side of the road, its a given. Regardless of what vehicle I am driving in. I just like it to flash red when I am hauling *** by it.

 

Speeding past those will only draw the police there on a more regular basis. They use them to get a feel for traffic speed in that area. It records every posted speed and averages it out. The police then use that average to determine if they need to step up patrol in that area for speeders, so as fun as they are to go blasting by, if they are on a favorite road of yours......it's only going to make it worse. Just FYI. I do it on occasion to, but have found one littering a favorite road of mine so I strolled past it SLLOOOOWWW a few dozen times, never saw it, or a cop on that road again.

 

I keep it slow when I see it. No need to alert the police that someone's been speeding there and they'll post more cops on that route... I'll speed after though..
