Default Top Speed?

What is YOUR top speed on your CBR1000F? How fast have you gone?
I'm not going to send you a ticket.

I never go over 100kph...in first gear . Seriously though, I've never wound it right up due to family responsibility and not having a couple of grand spare for fines. All I can say is that at 220kph (which it gets to really soon!) it's still accelerating hard! I feel like a passenger at over 200kph on the crap roads around here. The only roads good enough to wring it right out are swarming with cops during the day, and wildlife by night.

Rolls Royce used to describe the perfomance of their cars as "adequate". I'd say my bike's is "more than adequate".

Always kept 5 mph faster than Trout ........so that'd be right around 55...lol

Not sure you'll find any drag bragging types here Az ..........kinda not the way
we go about business, as Shadow says ...........straight line fast is easy......riding
the curves fast , with good lines (entry ----> exit) is what it's all about ........
that's where the real skill and experience shows through......in my opinion too

Just a 2 cents bla bla for what it's worth

I agree with you on the curves for skill levels. I'm just curious as to the top end found by anyone here. I don't brag either, so you wont here me. I just want to know the actual top end. I except your 2 cents & raise you my 2 cents.

Yes mate, that's right. It's the only bike I've ever owned that I don't know the top speed of. I've been much faster but that was when I was young, dumb and full of...you know the rest . Don't know if I'll ever wind it right out either. I agree with Sprock, it's more about acceleration and smoothing out the corners for me these days..must be getting old eh? Mind you, sometimes those corners come up mighty fast
