I washed & polished my bike yesterday, then got her a bit mucky today on a 200 mile ride to the lake district. Just me & my bike at my own leisurly pace. The morning was wet & windy but it all turned out nice in the end, GREAT day out .

Indiana, Those grips are so cool looking I'm afraid they'll make the rest of my bike look cheap.

Dadarob, that is one beautiful paint scheme. I love your bike.

I think yal are going to have to wait... I didn't do my research very well before ordering them. I just took someones word that a Fireblades levers would fit. I have now went thru a lot of pictures of Fireblades and I haven't seen one with a hydraulic clutch....

Ok, here they are from the wrong side of the big water: http://www.hesa-motorsport.de/shop/c...03-p-2328.html

it looks like CBR 1000 F ´93-´01 and CBR 1000 RR ´04-´07 are identical.

Indy- Those lever are very cool, hope it works out.
Put on my second set of Mich Pilot Road 2's. First set could have gone another 500-1000 miles but the front was starting to cup and the over-all wear was making the tire profile too "V" shape. About 13k miles of solid performance. Center wear did not flatten out at all from the interstate pounding. I'd say Michelin has the dual compound thing well sorted out.

Compared to some of you I am not doing enough. This time around though , changed oil and filter,Castrol 10-40.( advice on that choice is welcome) Replaced front head and wheel bearings (embarrassed that I was riding it with the shape they turned out to be in,and in the mountains at that !) Chain and sprockets are due, maybe next month. Repaired the seat, not the best but better looking. Oiled the cables except speedo.Probably do that when the chain and sprockets get done. Finally bled the clutch line and got the PO sludge out.Routine checks and fills of fliuds. Ride a LOT,which is the problem,I cant stay off her long enough. Oh and a new battery at end of last season. Wash and wax.Repeat as needed :-)
