Got the front brake pads done today.
Got the sludge in the front brake MC ( that was supposed to be brake fluid )
changed.
Also got the fork seals done. Had one pitted fork leg but they fixed that for me so it doesn''t destroy any more seals.
She's good for the trip to the Moto GP in October. Those repairs plus a a couple of
regular maintenance jobs and she good to go. Cheers

Mate I didnt ask but when I'm over there next week buying something else...... I'll
ask them. I rode it home the long way getting into it, working the front suspension
and they didnt leak so whatever they did worked for sure.
The whole brake pads, fork seals and labour to do that and change out thre front MC
brake fluid cost me $400. I have no idea when it comes to stuff like that and no tools
either for that sort of work so I just get them to do it.
Next is cam chain tensioner and possibly cam chian. My mechanic tells me they have
rolls of cam chain in the workshop and make up their instead of buying an OEM chain.
It also cuts down on labour costs as they can thread the chain through without
having to pull the motor down to loop a cam chain in there. Good idea I thought.
They will check the chain when they do the CCT and fix it at that time if need be.
He assures me though that the guides etc would be fine as it only has 50,000km on
it.

Yesterday-
- Installed new rear brake pads, noticed that all the brake hoses look new
- Pads in the front look practically new so left as-is
- Did some cleaning in hard to reach areas.
- Ordered a set of Avon Storm tires
- Took nice little ride through the country
- Bought H4 bulbs to install this morning

They're the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs that someone posted to another thread- 9003/HB2 ST. Got at Wal-Mart for about $13 each.
Looks like mine might have had the original (Stanley) bulbs. I replaced one, turned on the lights and could see that the Silverstar is visibly brighter in the daylight. Plugged right in, no modification necessary.![Icon Biggrin](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Wonder what I can do to brighten the backside? Road flares? 1,000,000 candlepower spotlight? Ideas?
