Mine too. Got a BMW F800GT and now it's time to sell my '88 unfortunately. Bought her new off the showroom floor in '89.

Not done today but over the past few weeks.

Bike how I bought it:

After fitting exhaust and painting black:

And finally after a lick of gold and metallic silver:

All done with cheap rattle cans from Wilco so not perfect but looks a lot better than when I bought it (hated those turquoise stripes)

Wow!!! I am never to criticize anyone's ride, but you should had quit while you were ahead on the black paint. The gold paint job is a total mess, overspray all over the brake rotors and tires. You should have just kept the wheels black IMHO, but too late now.
Nice exhaust.
Take another picture, not so close to the trash to appreciate the bike better.

I did tape up one side of the front wheel (left) but the tape barely stuck so didn't bother with the rest so had to scrub some overspray off the tyres. There's no paint on the rotors though, wheels were removed from the bike and discs removed before spraying.
The bike was solid black for about a month before the gold & silver went on, it was just too much of one colour and made the bike look bigger than it already is. The wheels were originally a very dark blue rather than black (hard to tell from the pics as they're dirty), didn't even realise how blue they were until I'd cleaned them ready for painting.
I did think about spraying the wheels white to contrast the black body but realised that they'd be an absolute bitch to keep clean so went for the gold.

Agree on keeping white wheels clean and I speak from experience. I powdercoat my wheels in white, but the look is awesome. I clean them carefully with WD40. It's super easy sprayed on a rag. This way you don't get any lubricant on the tire and it makes cleaning next time a breeze.

Sure does look like it was done with cheap rattle cans from Wilco, but hay, as long as you like it, who cares!
