What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?

Just completed a radiator pressure test and pressure test on both radiator caps of my 89 and 92. Both systems holding 20 psi nicely but both caps were done. The one on the 92 held no pressure and the 89 cap held under ten. So I went and got a couple new caps. Tested both of them just for the hell of it and they hold a nice 15psi before they release. Another job out of the way. I'm hoping my rubber chain guide gets here tmrw so I can put the ar$e end of the 89 back together. Compression tests on both bikes is my next assignment.
EDIT : A check of Honda Fiche indicates $24.36 for a radiator cap and that was in the US !!!! I hate to think what I'd pay here. Considering I got the same thing today at Supercheap Auto for $6.99 each, I think Mr Honda is trying to have a lend of me.......

I'm trying to see your rack in your avatar ozzy. Is it an old Gearsack ? Looks very different to my Ventura. Looks to me like it would have a fair bit of flex in it ?

Going to have to put the "vanes" back in the 93 airbox elbows and maybe pull a shim
off each needle in the carb - she bogs down when flipping to wot after 115.....to much
juice and not enough airflow is my preliminary diagnosis & of course on a non public road
Slow commute this morning hums along nicely just under the ton tho'.

wheel bearing and tyre
Ok, new front tyre fitted - gone for a bridgestone this time as the metzeler only lasted 1000 miles .
Also new front wheel bearing fitted as I was getting slight vibration in the bars. TOP TIP - when fitting the new bearings make sure you seat them ALL THE WAY home. Do not do what i did and end up short by 1mm this allows the centre spindle to drop into the hub and makes fitting or removing the centre pin a real bugger
Mine were just starting to go but the difference is incredible - when did you last check yours?
Anyway of a for a blast out tonight to run it all in
be safe

I'm shocked at the mileage of the OP's Metzlers.
My Kawasaki is fitted with Metzlers - fitted new for a 9,000km, 2 week two-up trip from Adelaide Hills to Carins (in QLD) and return. Since then they have also done, again 2 up, another 3,500km to Melbourne, around Tasmania and return!
I'd be looking for reasons for the rapid wear.
Cheers, SB
