Captain ---> short for Captain Cook ----> rhyming slang for "look"

The Murray is Australia's longest river and the third longest navigable river in the world, after the Amazon and Nile, the major domestic water supplier for 1.5 million households as well as growing a huge amount of horticulture along its length. They say that by the time it hits South Australia, the water has been through seven sets of kidneys. All I know is, it sure tastes like it!

So, how was the height. Rivers' still well up at Swan Reach near me.

Cheers, SB

Don't know which pond you were referring to there Seb; but I, for one, certainly appreciated your services as a translator.

And I only live across the small pond.

You live across the ditch TK, and careful or I'll start doing phonetic UnZud translations for words such as fish, and six

And now to bring it back on-topic.
Started my girl today, and as you did TK, reminded her that the season to be riding is nearly upon us. I did get the new discs and pads in the mail Friday and just waiting a couple more deliveries before I set upon her with oil and spanners. Hmmmmm, oil, slippery, sweet oil

Went out to the garage and pulled the floor jack out and noticed it was 2:01PM.

Pulled the front wheel and replaced the wheel bearings.

As I was sliding the floor jack back under the bench, I noticed it was 2:38.

WOW! 37 minutes without trying thanks to my trusty new blind bearing puller from Harbor Freight.

Its on sale right now part#95987, $69.99 marked down to $44.99 USD. I used the 20% off code from the internet at the register and got it for $35.99 + tax.

I decided to go after the rear bearings. I was going to wait until it got cooler out as it is very hot today. Because there are 3 in the rear wheel and they are a bit bigger, it took one hour from start to finish with the bike on the center stand and no jacking required.

I guess the extra time was spent cleaning parts and aliening the chain. That rear caliper retainer slot setup bites but I got past it. The new tool was a huge help in the removal of the bearings.
