today I changed all four sparks wires thanks to helpful Mattson who managed to get them for me.
Funny expression on my face when I left the broken one to last and started taking it out from its socket and found only a wire in my hand. I knew it was bad but didnt know it was that bad.
Anyhow I changed them and went for a ride straight after and I am pleased!

That's cool Missy

Today I put my new 87 (LOL) back together -

She's a keeper - runs likes a fat Guy heading to an all you can eat $7.99 buffet

Missy got her spark back.... ...and Mattson is a good guy !

Good news, Sprock. Hope the buffet was worth the effort.

I started the big clean today - an oil leak isn't good for anything....UGGGH !!

Ah nice deal Indy - great shape - can't wait to see your bike all done up again

Tonight I had to explore why my 87 was surging and stumbling -

Start her up ------ after 15 seconds cylinders 1,2,3 nice and hot - 4 cold !!!!!!!!
determined by feeling the temp of the downpipes

Pull it and it's wet ! test the spark it's weak check the coil feeds - clean 'em - push the
# 4 lead down hard in plug boot - better - fires gets hot again.

Reckon #1 coil feeding c1 & c4 is "iffy" coil wires too, rather than waste
anymore time with the 25 yr old coil set .....................................

Guess which bike is getting the new stick coils first ? !!!!!

EpicLife - hope you are reading this !

I tried doing that yesterday with no luck. I got her washed and took her for a ride to dry her off. I never got past that point, that short ride kept getting longer.

Will try to change coolant today with any luck.

Should also order updated R/R.
