Definitely not being nice. I was stuck on the atrocities under the bike and never looked up.

Been threatening to get one for ages, but flat jack K&L etc were all 200

The Hand of God strap stays - because - you just never know !

Rode to work this morning and at 6 am the temp was just about 60, no traffic and was pretty light out too. Just rolled out onto the freeway and turned over 15,000 miles. Sure is great to have a bike this old that is practically new. Damn it was a good morning and then I got to work.....

forks were off ! Geoff, does not balance well on one wheel

Installed Tires - Sprockets & Chain - 1987 Hurricane today 5/24/12

Oh yeah and reading back up a few threads - Hawk was looking
for the easy way to reinstall fork springs and cap's etc. - my way

Attach a spare handle bar to grip it and stop the tube from turning !
Adjustable wrench a great way to control downward pressure
while screwing the cap in - have to be careful there not to cross
thread the cap !

Not bad for my first ever seal job eh ?(well 1000F seal job that is) - See anyone could do this really !

Today I finally got the carburetors off (thanks to hawkwind's tip) so did some cleaning around the boots too. Pretty dirty there, perhaps some of the clamps were a bit loose.

Put some new rear EBC HH sintered pads in the 89 today. I have fronts to do to but I will get some wear out of the ones that are in it now for a while yet.

Today... I spend 2 glorious hours searching through wiring to find a short, I also cleaned every connector and earth I could find... I even replaced a couple of globes... All in the quest to spot blowing the indicator/brake light fuse!

yesterday I took open the whole front nose to get the front glass and gess what, some dumb ff ...has taken super atack glue and desided to glue the glass together with plastic. Probably to avoid getting moist in but the two rubbers he has forgot to put back in!
So I spent another hour to put it back together with lots of "flowery" and "sunny" things going thro my mind

Re-jetted today, 135 mains/45 pilot with two shims under needles.

HUGE difference.

Thanks Sprock for the web link for carbjetkit, saved lots of $$$$$.
