Default alignment

Thanks Henry (so can you tell me the way to Oldham )

anyway where each handlebar connects and gets pinched has a line
across the top of that upright pivot bar ......just put a straight edge
over each one .....and they lined up eazy peezy.

Very happy with it all said and done , but pretty sure I'll end up
tapping in the bar weights ..... slight bar buzz still

The only thing right now that stop full choice of position on the for tubes
the Trip T clamps on each fork tube and I dont have the bar up far enough
to clear that bolt for the Trip T on each side .......remedied with longer
brake , clutch & throttle lines ----- but to be honest right now
they are fine .......they'll look real goofy if I put them up any higher

Puzzling that there's no manufacturers name on them. Perhaps a one-off by some engineering student. A prototype that went no further.
Glad you're so happy with the position. Should help the limp wrists eh?

How did you make sure they're both symmetrically aligned? That's the hard bit when there's no positive peg or locator as found on the original clip ons.

Remind me of the multi adjustable bars on my old XJ900 - as I recall, the yellow custard slice from Philly has a set - very nice !
And I see a "wrist pic " in pic no 3.............
I reckon it's "clutch wrist" from too much "clutching" HEHEHE
Sorry couldn't resist.

Default reclaimed my baby

sunday, visited the old man as i usually do,being he is 90,parked where i could see the bike from his window,by the time i made him a cup of tea ,looked out ,it was gone !
made a few calls to local contacts ,found out where it was ,some spotty kid was riding it up and down the road ,told local police where it was ,they werent interested ,so monday called them again ,they had done nothing so went and reclaimed my baby and was back at home before midnight with bay in tow, hope it costs him more to have his teeth fixed than it cost me to repair my ignition switch ,seems fitting an alarm is a neccessity these days ,anyone got experience of hawk or cyclones on this bike ,looked at reviews and some say good, some crap ,so no wiser , guess nothing is better than a good shotgun for this scum, luckily was undamaged apart from wiring

Glad to hear you knocked his teeth out mate cheeky little ****! Hope he's learnt his lesson

Post up a fresh thread in the main section asking about the alarm, you'll probably get a better response.

I've got a 2003 R6 front end coming to do a swap. I don't have a wheel or the brakes yet, so the actual swapping is a little ways off, but I can't wait to get it together. I'm prolly gonna top -em with a set of the Apex adjustable clip-ons I posted about elsewhere...also a tubular bar conversion is possible...haven't decided yet.

I'm pretty excited to have a huge upgrade in stiffness, suspension action and feel, and better/non-linked brakes. I'll be sure to post on my progress as soon as I get all of the parts together.

Found this on ebay, bought one and installed it:

Stebel Nautilus Compact Motorcycle Air Horn - Black | eBay

Frigging thing is incredibly loud! 139db! I mounted it inside the left cowl right next to the headlight housing. You can hear it echo off the surrounding buildings.

And discovered my petcock is seeping, anyone know where to get a rebuild kit?

I walked by mine today and looked at the cat footprints in the dust on it. Damn, I'm obviously too busy.
