Yeah if I left mine for 3 weeks she might have trouble too.

Get yourself an optimiser and leave it plugged in - that way she'll always be ready for ya

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OXFORD-MAXIMIS...3A1%7C294%3A50

I got mine by subscribing to Fast Bikes (I read it anyway) they have diferent deals on depending on the time of the year

minxy, I'm not sure how the optimisers work, but I know my buddy has a tender that won't charge when the battery is completely dead. Does your optimiser say that is won't charge?

Older batteries are a pain on bikes sometimes anyway, and if you're not sure how old it is...it may just be time for a new one.
Reg/Rec is a problem on these bikes, but it may not be your problem yet.
You didn't leave the key in it, did you? (I have done this a couple times before...dead as a freakin' doornail she was)

If only there was somebody like Harry to come over and give you a hand.... That would be perfect, wouldn't it?

I'd try a new battery.
I just put a new battery in my Jeep this week. It wouldn't stay running, either. It would just cut out, even after I got it running (and it has a great charging system). New battery did the trick.

These bikes have weak-*** charging systems anyway. One of my big complaints with them. I had to get a new bike battery 2 summers ago. Been good since, though.

If you find anything else out let us know.

It's definately a good chance for Harry to be a real-life storybook knight! He'd roll up on his 1000cc steed to help the damsel in distress with her little 600... I can see it now!

Nah Happens to me all the time lol

My old girl is up for MOT on Friday hopefully she will pass (She NEEDS new whee bearings eeek so we’ll see)

If you haven’t got yours’ running by the weekend I’m happy to pop over and take a look (Might be in the car though is she fails)

Sounds like your battery is dead though so first step is to replace that, and then get a multimeter on her and see if you are losing any curret when she is off (You prob have an alarm so that would be using some)

Now everyone will tell me off for my bearings - but I need to get my spare wheels powdercoated so have been putting it off - bit noisey but not too bad lol

Harry - sounds like a good idea now the weather is picking up. As long as you don't mind that I turned to the dark side - bought myself a Blackbird - so much fun.

Minxy - Biking is all about the road and socialising. The local meets are all pretty good - Lytham has the car parks closed off for bikes on a monday eve. you don't need to know anyone - just turn up, park up , grab a brew and look round the bikes.
Knott end on a wednesday eve is the same.
And you already know rivvy barn.

Harry - There is a really good bearing supplier in Leigh. Can't remember the bearing size but i bought front wheel bearings - SKF manufacturer for about £3 each - much cheaper than honda replacements.
