It could just be a toasted battery - once they have gone too far they wont re-charge.

What is the voltage whilst stopped ? - And what is the voltage when running ?

Is it missfiring under throttle - or backfiring when you shut off ?

With regard to HID lights - they only draw 35w but output around 125w of light so the electrical system has an easier time.

Change the tail lights and the indicators to LED at the same time and you almost halve the load on the electrics.

I'll bet they were trying to scare your friend. It's pretty unusual to see a woman driving and a man riding pillion. Of course, that doesn't mean they are any less idiotic and rude. Personally, I treat female riders the same way I treat women in general: with courtesy and respect. Come to think of it, I generally treat men that way, too. And children. But not twits.

It will only be the white ceramic that has snapped. shove some blue-tack or plasticine in to your plug spanner and undo the metal part of the plug. The blue-tack or plasticine will hold the plug and bits in to the plug spanner whilst you lift it out.

Your not getting out of meeting fellow bikers that easy - pmsl

Give me a shout if you need a hand with the plugs - the toolkit wrench is crap - better with the correct fitting plug socket from a decent socket set.

I think your plugs are the same size as my blackbird plugs - can you measure across two of the flats on one of the plugs and confirm the size ?
