Magnetism knows no bounderies. Twin or inline 4 seems like its worth a try as long as it fits and isn't too far away my guess it should pickup just the same.

Yeah, the engine configuration shouldn't matter. The sensor doesn't know what the configuration is, it just picks up a signal. So long as it's a Hall and it fits (close enough to the rotor), it'll work.

I did buy that Duc one. It should be here soon, as soon as it is, I'll compare and see if it'll fit. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Are you going to spin it to 13,400 rpm? Sounds scary whit those cams and stock springs

I will eventually, but like you said, not until I get the springs, cams degreed a bit more, and I think I'll need rods too... I'm not sure I trust them.

You will probably need to get the head ported to get the engine breathing at those rpms or there isn't use off the extra revs.

I trust mine. They looked pretty nice when i took the last peak at them before i put the oil pan on the case

Have you thought about moving the rotor whit some kinf of spacer to get it closer?

It is going to be ported, I'm saving up to do the head all at once. That way, it'll all be done, but for the meantime, this motor as is will do for now. I've also been thinking about the "issue" we were talking about in email about the cylinder bracing....

So, for now, I want to get the electronics to work, and then I'll worry about the max effort for the engine (head, extra revs, rods, etc.) after a while. The way things are with my family right now, financially, I can't do it all at once.

Are you talking about the cam rotor? It can't be spaced since it doesn't read like the crank sensor from the side. It reads the top of the teeth on the rotor. And the sensor mounts to the outside of the head (as I'm sure you know), so it can only go further away, not closer with a spacer

I will check tomorrow can i figure anything usefull when i put the head on my casing. Sounds that you have thought about your motors construction a lot.
Little planning is allways good!

It will come together... it's just going to take a bit longer.
