anyone on two wheels that is nice to me , I will acknowledge them back

Keep in mind, classic, that in the states our clutch hand is the one that faces opposing traffic and is used to wave. really no effort involved. lol. just a simple let go lower and return. haha

OMFG HAHAHA

If their brave enough to fave the street and the people in cars on it they get a wave from me. Pedal power or even those unfortunate enough to have to turn their wrist on an HD.

I generally dont wave, they dont have to pay insurance or get a license. Scoots are cool but just a way to get around.

I wave at almost everyone although lately I have declined in waving to people on harleys and other cruisers due to their lack of recognition of me. I wave and get nothing in return then feel like a jack@ss

There's an article in this month's Motor Cyclist Magazine regarding America's obsession towards waving at one another, and how it's evolved from an honest gesture of appreciation and support towards other riders, to the current self-serving "hey look at me! I have that style bike too!" mentality. Lately I’ve taken on the mindset that the whole "to wave or not to wave" dilemma is childish and absurd. But me being the nice guy I am, can't help but to wave at other riders; specially sporbikes. What to do, what to do?

In Korea all big bike riders and maxi-scooter riders wave or nod to each other regardless of the type of bike. If we waved at scooters and small bikes we would never stop waving, so I ignore them and go on my way. Oddly, if you wave at a small bike by accident they don't even wave back.

My philosophy is scooters that you have to plate and have an endorsement, I'll give a casual/normal wave. 50cc and under scooters, nuttin for them. And I'll wave at all bikes even though not many Goldwings or Harleys seem to wave much....

I just can't deal with scooter riders. The drivers may be cool and all, but the scooter only goes 35 around here, and in a 45 mile an hour road...one lane of course with no passing available...they're just causing more problems.

I just pretend I don't see them, so I don't act like an ***.

I agree Incognito, the dilemma is childish but why even wave to a fellow rider if you will only be rejected and waste youre time...of course I will always wave to sportbikes! but as for anything else I generally just dont want to feel stupid for giving support and being ignored...I mean maybe they are too consumed in riding they just dont notice me but i seem to notice everyone on anything with 2 wheels. IMO anyone on 2 wheels is a fellow rider i mean yeah scooters are a little iffy but hey they are risking their backs not being in a cage as well...
