Im not stuck in anyway at all. i have white family members..lmao blood reletives i love all people and see people for what they are. you dont know the african american experences until you lived it. Have you ever been profiled or stopped by the cops because you were black? have you ever not got a job because you were african american? as a jewish women i would think you would have more of an open mind. i dont want anything from anyone. everything i got i earned. In my household everyone worked. My girlfirend is a college gradute and has her masters degree and im working on my BA. see what gets me is people want to dismiss that race plays a part in every day life. Why do rappers use theN word? i cant speak for them because im no rapper. Do african american people have it hard yes. are some of us lazy yup!! but do people fail to remeber our community has been over run by drugs in the early 80's our community leaders have been killed. I know money is power. and thats the bottom line.

 

Guess who the major consumer of rap music is. 80 percent white people. your own people buy more rap music then us. dont take everything you see or hear on tv as the truth.

There was more to ending slavery than just Abe Lincoln, and confederate flags are an attrocity anyway, and it has a lot more to do than just biggitry. The confederate flag is actually very unpatriotic, and denegrates America. I will say taht I don't think people should dwell on or live in the past, but it is your past that defines you, but you can either embrace it and learn from it to make you stronger, or you can use it as a crutch, and an excuse to get by in life. The world we live in still has a way to go before there is total equality, and that goes past our borders. Color doesn't have as much to do with your chances anymore, although it still can be a factor, to say that race is never looked is just ignorant. But more than race it's your social class that dictates the opportunities, the wealthier you are the better off regardless of color. So like I said in my earlier post a white man may have an upper hand in some circumstances, they also will be affected way more for any comment that they make that is prejudice in anyway. Just look at Imus they wanted him fired for his remark, yet rappers make a career out of saying much worse. I am not condoning what Imus said because I believe he did go too far, but the fact remains if 50 cent said that no one would care.

 

Its not blaming its just stating the facts sir. thats all no matter how you look at the situation the facts still remain the same. dont deny what happen thats insulting. When people tryed to say the holacost never happend thats insulting to jewish people that died. all i ask is for people not to deny the fact that race plays apart in alot of things including who gets what job etc. thats its. i dont need anyones hand out i am a MAn and can do for myself. All we ask is for a fair shot. level the playing field.
