I've been reading through this post, and there is a lot of dispute that whites are born with certain "privilages" that African Americans, or Hispanics or Asians are not. Well I think saying "born with" is not correct, however all over the country people are judged by their color, race, ethnicity, religion etc. To say otherwise would be a complete false statement, and whites generally are on top of that judgement. Who sits on all of the corporate chairs, who has majority in congress and government?

I read by 05rr that if it was not for a white man then slavery would still be in exist. Not true. Slavery was a crumbling system well before the civil war. Abraham Lincoln did NOT plan to free the slaves, nor did he want to. He emancipated the slaves after the Union victory at Antietam. He did this to show the Northern States that they were winning the war. You forget 05rr, that it wasa white man that bondedAfricans in chains all of those years ago. And who ruled segregation in the South? Sure as hell wasn't a black government.

I personally do not care about "derogatory" comments, do I use them? Not usually. But you could walk up to be on the street and call me a Guinea, or a Dago or WOP (I'm Italian)and I wouldn't care. Every common "racial" term was used as a clasification word. For example: "WOP" stands for With Out Papers. This name was given to italians because when their wave of immigration arrived at Ellis Island, many of them did not have birth certificates or identification. Seems harmless to me. A word can only be dangerous when you let it. I personally do not let it bother me, you could say any racial slang to me, I wouldn't care. However I HATE the idea that in this country, there is a whole population of people labeled as "minorities". Why can't we be equals?

 

I would love to be equal but unfortunatley the system in some cases isnt set up that way. equal is what im striving for as well as wealth for my family because thats were all the power lie's the almighty dollar rules this country. its how things get done. As a people african americans need to do better but people dont realize we have only really been free of our right oppression for 30 years or so. were getting there. in one of my Marketing books in the next 20 years white people will be the minority and african americans and spanish will be the majority. But it all means nothing when socially 10% or so of the population holds the wealth in the USA and .05 of them are african america. and less then that are spanish. Its more of a social economics issue then race honestly because there is no diffrent then a poor african american and a poor white person. the rich people in the world still look down on them the same. The wealthy control the government who inturn makes the laws.

I think everybody needs to stop whining about ****e like this honestly. Its gonna happen regardless of what everybody thinks. Black people get stiffed, white people get stiffed, hispanics get stiffed, asians get stiffed...trust me, if ive learned one thing in my life its that **** runs down hill and most of us are stuck at the bottom. Do you realize that an average red neck and an average black guy actually have more in common wit each other than they do wit people of their same race but are just in a different tax bracket than them? I dont know if anybody else has really noticed this but its people like Al Sharpton and that Duke guy that want us to keep fighting. This **** is bout money, always has been and always will be. Slavery was invented thousands of years ago so that it would be cheaper to farm crops. It got carried over to the USA. The civil war and the confederate flag werent symbols of slavery back when it happened, the war was bout money and the south wanting states rights to superceed the federal rights. People like Sharpton and Duke wanna have us keep fightin so they can keep fillin their own pockets is all. They are salesmen and nothing more. They just talk louder than the rest of us.

Now, im not sayin that all black leaders and white leaders are bad, we just havent seen any good ones in along *** time is what im saying. Im sure that the reverand jesse jackson was actually a pretty good guy at some point in the beginning but when the money gets to ya, u turn bad. Why do you think he shows up at every place when a black man was wronged? Think he does it for the good of his people? Do you honestly think he isnt taken a nice check or i should say "donation" from the NAACP? People, get real. This crap that every body is sayin bout the black guy stole my job or i didnt get hired cause im black is bs. When it all comes down to it, its bout money and who you know is all. I dont care bout what kinda qualifications u have, if u know somebody whether u are black or white, ur gettin the job over the next guy.

Everybody needs to stop and look whats happening in this thread right now. Look at it. We are doing what the ******** like duke and sharpton want us to do which is fight amonst ourselves and point out differences in each other and say "I was wronged". That way, u fall into that lil pit of self pitty and guess who is there to lend u a helpin hand out of that, the guy that is just gonna agree wit u. **** u off some more, say "yeah they did wrong you, thats facked up. you should get back at them. they are all the same."

What imus said wasnt right in the least bit. If i would heard that on the radio i woulda laughed my *** off tho cause i would know what kinda ****e storm would follow lol. Everybody needs to just chill the fack out and stop bein so damned sensitive all the time.
