[*]The prevalence of imprisonment in 2001 was higher for
-- black males (16.6%) and Hispanic males (7.7%) than for white males (2.6%)
-- black females (1.7%) and Hispanic females (0.7%) than white females (0.3%)

[*]Lifetime chances of a person going to prison are higher for -- men (11.3%) than for women (1.8%)

By the looks of things, it looks like we're not the ones who do all the raping and killing. We're the good ones ! Ohhh, and you guys do have something we don't! Yeah, you sure do, it's called Sickle Cell! So there, you have something we don't, you're 1 up on us.

.......When you need to say things like that you're only fooling yourself..............
True.

Or the most used phrase, “some of my best friends are [insert ethnicity not your own here]"

The minute we try and explain/justify these words’ utterance, we’ve taken a step back. Words hurt, folks…there’s no getting around that. For those who think it’s easy to just “brush it off…sticks and stonesâ€, bear in mind that “words†start regional conflicts and escalate into global wars; words sent people to prison, concentration camps, gas chambers, etc. Words are communication; they communicate our wants, needs, anger, frustration, pain, and the entire gamut of emotional angst and joy. They are powerful, and at times more so than physical things such as clubs, guns, baseball bats, etc., because they don’t harm the physical being, but go even deeper and harm the emotional being. That kind of pain stays with you long after any physical wound has healed. Realize and understand this, otherwise we…all of us….will remain at each other’s throats for this generation and those that come after us. It is our responsibility in the here and now to leave this world better than we encountered it.

That said, unless you have personally experienced what a person of a different ethnic background has, you cannot with any degree of credibility dismiss their experience just as they cannot dismiss yours. I encourage everyone to buy a copy (1961) or rent the movie (1964) of “Black Like Me.†I saw this movie when I was young, and it left an indelible mark on my ability to empathize with others…to see their point of view and appreciate their life experiences.

I don’t know if we should feel anger at Mr. Imus for his hurtful and ill-conceived words, but I do believe we should pity him because he is a victim of his own ignorance.

Yeah, us White people don't have to work as hard as "you guys", right? I mean, if we have a big house, and fancy things, it's because we're White, not because we're well educated correct? And as people have already said, why is it that your own kind can rap about degrading women, calling eachother the "n" word and laughing about it, but if a White person says something it's a big f**king deal? That's discrimination! What about the comments Lauryn Hill said or perhaps what 2pac always talked about...but that's okay right? I mean, we deserve those comments right? It's a FREE Country, and once again, Freedom of Speech...let people say what they want to say. If people are so against that, then why not TRY to do something about it instead of crying or bitching. You got us to take down the Rebel Flags, you have many holidays, hell your own month! Ohhh and one more thing, if it wasn't for a White man, there'd still be slavery.
