If an HID bulb is turned off after being at full brightness, its warm up period is much shorter than a cold start.

True, but there's still a noticeable lag and a discoloration of the light it puts on the ground. I can live with it like I said above, but if there's an easy fix...why not. Don't get me wrong, HID's are the **** and I recommend them to anybody who's in the market...they just have a slight lag unlike regular bulbs.

No question dual headlights are the way to go. My wifes old R6 was awesome at night. Then, I drove my friends 04 R1. two projectors for the low beams, then dual high beams kick on.. 4 headlights off that bike. you could literally see for miles on that bike..

well squid....you just brought up my winter project...i am having my fairings painted in the winter and will be doing this while they are out...

now on an f4i, i think i have less real estate to work with (i think)....everyone i have talked to tells me that doing bi-xenons is either impossible or near impossible because they tend to be bigger both diameter size and depth wise which can give you problems against the fairing stay...

my goal is to get a TRUE both sides high AND low on an f4i....i have researched bi-xenons that might fit....you definitely can't go 4"....3" is probably the max and you'll have to do a fair amount of modding to get them in there tight...i don't know much about the 1krr but on the f4i i am going to be cramming stuff in there....

let me know your thoughts when you give it a shot or better yet, if you find some small bi-xenons with projectors and lamps, let me know if they are a good price....i found a set of 2.5" but they are technically fog lights and i don't know if they would be bright enough to act as actual headlights...ehh...whatever...but kudos man, it's an awesome mod if you do it....can't wait to start mine in the winter...
