Changing Headlight Bulb
I was replacing my headlight and now I am kind of confused. It doesn't twist into place, similar to that of a car. I searched a bit and found that there is a metal spring/clip that holds the bulb in place? Is that true? I went to my local Honda dealer and they pulled up their fiche for me, and no such part was in it. The screw, which I know is in the housing, was also not in the fiche...
Can someone please help me out? A pic would be awesome. Also, if this mysterious part does exist and you have an extra or a part number, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Yeah there is a spring clip that is held inplace by the screw on one side and the other side hooks in a little j looking channel
You took the headlight bulb out yourself correct? If you did the spring clip is there the little screw does not hold it in place it just rests up aginst it so check around in your upper or around your radiator area you will find it.

I did remove the bulb, but the previous owner had put in one of those fake HID bulbs and I didn't like the color. But before I even had the large rubber boot off, the headlight would move. I am fairly sure that the previous owner lost the clip when he changed the bulb and the tension of the boot just held it in place. So I really need one from a parts bike or the part number because the dealer can't find it in the fiche.
I know of the clip you speak....had to deal with it just this past Friday.
Its a pain in the *** when you go to remove it and it shoots off before you get a good look at how it is held on.
Looking through the manual you can see the spring, but there is no part number listed.
Best bet is like you said getting the clip from a bike junk yard.
So long story short, ended up having to take the whole front fairing off to put the new bulb in and get the clip to rest correctly.
I tightened down the screw pretty well to make sure it doesn't pop off again.
Goodluck.
Oh ya nice bike JMart
