Status symbols...maybe someone can explain why this Arai is almost $10k...[sm=insomnia.gif]

Arai RX-7 RRV Michelin

Japan gets all the good stuff though, I love the new 09 Freddie Spencer, the Norick Abe is cool, too. And of course, only in Japan can you find helmets and Godzilla ($10k toy!?) in the same shop. lol

Damn spirit, you can make that a birthday gift to me. Honestly, for those who don't want to ride, with all the gearitis okay. Really, the law of averages says they're going to regret it. how ever some of them will ridea long time without a scratch, Some will end up spaghetti on the pavement for the nice firemen to just hose way and the wrecker driver to just sweep up the mess left of the mutilated bike and for another portion of the percentage of riders without gear, who make the ultimate sacrifice for their choice they will help lower the surface population and improved the gene pool

i went to a maryland chapter of ABATE (forever known to me as GAYBATE) meeting a few months ago just to see what it was all about and all i can say is that they are hell-bent on getting rid of the helmet law here in maryland. it seemed like every ride or gathering they had planned had something to do with banishing the helmet law. im all for individual choice but it just amazes me how stupid, pointless and uncool they think wearing helmets are. i was also one of two non-harley riders there. lol

i also trip out whenever i visit my fam in arizona and see guys riding down the freeway at 80mph with sunglasses and a backwards hat.

I don't know how many of you are aware that Arai make different helmet 'shapes' for different parts of the world, depending on the predominant 'head shape' in that area........US helmets are slightly narrower than English helmets, which are designed for 'rounder' heads.
That Michelin helmet doesn't even look nice IMHO, and I can buy eleven new Arais for that price.
Still, I guess if you want to be really 'exclusive'...............
