HRC and CBR relationship
Ok, this question is going to turn a few heads as it seems like there should be a very obvious answer to my question but I can't seem to find one on the web.
I know that HRC stands for Honda Racing Corporation. There seem to be many answers to what CBR represents. RR is Racing Replica.
Before you get ahead of yourself, my question isn't "what does the CBR stand for?". I have found plenty of posts on this subject and am not interested in turning this thread into one of them.
My questions is a bit "Honda newbish". I purchased my first Honda, a CBR1000 ABS. I also purchased a tank protector with "HRC" at the top without thinking. Is the HRC logo specific to the HRC CBR motorcycle? I don't want to do something stupid and put something on my bike if it wasn't meant to be on it.
Thanks for your patience and I look forward to hearing if I need to go buy a non "HRC" tank protector.

It has been debated and posted before here and the end result is that no one actually knows for CERTAIN !
You would have read all the conflicting article about this question before no doubt mate ..so you prolly know as much as we do ...
Allot of accessories have that " HRC " sticker on them , but you will find that it will fit what ever model CBR it was marked to fit ...HRC or not ...

I agree with classic on this one.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's a tank protector...that's it.
I think the HRC is just an edition of the RR where you're at. It's kinda like a Repsol, I think. I may be wrong.
However, I don't see any reason to buy a different one. I think it would look good on your bike.
