Ok so we are talking you basic balance and speed control ie. braking, shifting, and accel combo issues ether on the flat or in turns. Can I get a little back up on this??

 

Way back in 1984, here in West Virginia, you didnt have to have a motorcycle license as long as you had a regular license. Then they decided the state could make more money if they forced you the get the "F" endorcment, (motorcycle license). But, what my mother told me it said in the local newspaper was that if you renewed your regular license before the official date of "required to have motorcycle license", you could pay the $5 fee for the motorcycle endorcment, effectively "grandfathering in your motorcycle license" and not have to take the test, and be completely legal. So thats what I did. Never having to take a test that I might not even pass, even though I've been riding for 41 years and street riding since 1984. And every time I have to renew my license, they ask me if I want to keep the "F" endorement, I say yes, they say "It'll cost an extra $5, I say, "I wouldnt care if it cost $50, I dont want to have to take that stupid test" I remember Chris Ulrich of RoadRacing World, and a professional racer, had to take the test a couple times because he couldnt pass and he been riding motorcycles since basicly before he could walk.

CMF, Indiana had the exact same law at the same time. And I did exactly like you did.
When I moved to Alabama, I just had to take a written test. I didn't even open a book and scored a 100%.

 

I love how all they really care about is if you can maneuver around a parking lot for a few minutes.
