exhaust noise
I took some pics but i dont know how to upload them. Basically I am now dealing with a little **** of metal, i cant tell where the bolt and engine are seperate because i took a drill to the surrounding area. Which was nedless to say very stupid.
Ok so i figured out the photo thing... I think my next step is to cut the excess bit of bolt off and drill a new hole as close to the size of the bolt as i can get it and then i will try to find a thread repair kit or something. And on a seperate note does anyone know what that little wet looking area in the left of this second photo is... its only on that one spot and i done know what it is. also is there a way i could get a thick gasket instead so it will make up for the space gap? Thanks for all your input

I have had good luck welding a nut on the end of the broken stud, carefully heating the surrounding area and extracting with a wrench or socket. You wil need a mig welder and a set of oxy/acetelene torches. Any garage in your area could probably do this for you if you can get the bike there. The drill and tap method does work, but can be easily screwed up (drill to far, not straight etc.) This can become an expensive exhaust leak if messed up. My two cents. Hope it helps. Good luck
pix don't work...yea the drill method could be bad if you mess up, but DON'T! do it very slowly and drill until the end of the existing bolt.
just remember when you tap for new threads...do not use the drill...use a T-handle.
