Default exhaust Noise

This might be a weird question.. The last guy that own my F4i has a M4 after market exhaust on. The dame thing wakes up the whole neighborhood especially when I am warming the bike up. Is there anyway to lower the noise without spending more than 80$.

You can probably get a stock pipe for the cost of shipping. By selling the M4 you'll make money on the deal. And your neighbors will thank you.

throw a towel over the end while it warms up. That quiets it down and you don't have to get rid of the nice can. Alot of manufacturers also sell noise inserts that can quiet it down a little. Otherwise stock is your only option, bikes are loud.

I first read the title for the post and thought "hmm.. exhaust's are supposed to make noise..." I see what you're saying though. You can sell the exhaust and get a stock one and make a couple bucks off of the deal. Shop around on ebay a little bit and you'll get one dirt cheap.

Stock exhaust offers the "whisper quiet" noise. Any aftermarket exhausts will make the bike much louder. As everybody else has been saying, sell your M4 and use the money to purchase a stock exhaust.

I always thought Yoshi pipes were quieter though than any other aftermarket brand, but I could be wrong.
