Ive done a search, not much on the subject. Best I found was could be an vacuum leak (but coming from where?). After adding my yoshi trs slip on. Im getting this high pitch whistling, whining type noise. It starts at idle and all rpms. Its loud enuff that I can hear it with ear plus in at all speeds. Its annoyingly loud.
Has this happened to anyone else? Im wondering if I already had a small vacuum leak and the slipon just made it worse. Ive already taking my fairings off twice this week addin the slipon and turn signals. So before I take em off again id like to get a general idea what to look for, or do.

 

Is it brand new and how far have you ridden it?

Chainstretcher mentioned in another post about new exhausts needing to burn in iirc. Can't find the post but it be related? I think they may also smoke and smell funny for a bit too.

 

Sounds like you didn't get it clamped down all the way. Start the bike up and use your hand to feel for any exhaust leaks.

 

I actually just put that same exhaust on three days ago. Mine sounds fine. Did you plug the Oxygen Sensor bung? Either a o2 sensor goes in it or a bolt. The threads for the bolt are 12mmx8mm .125 pitch. (you would have to get the bolt from yoshi.) If that's not it its the clamp that attaches to the header.
