replaced my cct
Just replaced the cct on my 06 f4i with 12xxx miles on it. I decided to replace it with a stock one just for peace of mind. When i had the part in my hand, i didnt see anything about DONT pull the little metal tab that comes in it, and of course i did. This caused it to not want to turn back and retract when i tried to redo it. After looking around at the new one and the old one i pulled off, i found that a black clip on the tensioner end was hanging out in a gap. After slipping it back on it went pretty smoothly and the rest of the install went well, except for the occasional dropping a washer into the depths of the bike, which definitely wasnt fun to get out.
Anyhow started the bike up and rode it around the neighborhood and the rattle is gone, and hopefully everything is good to go. Has anyone else had trouble with the circlip on the end of the stock replacement getting stuck?
