Default Replaced R/R but still not starting.

So after trouble shooting this thing for several days a few weeks ago, i finally decided to replace the regulator, and after waiting a week to get the thing shipped i finally replaced it and charged the battery and rode it for a while. I let it sit for a day then tried to start it this afternoon but it is doing the same thing as before...basically it doesnt seem to be keeping a charge or have enough juice to start the bike. Any thoughts cuz im kinda stumped here. thanks guys.

is there any chance the battery could be at fault here? i doubt that is the case because it takes a charge, but just wont hold it...so i imagine it has to be the charging system causing me problems...but im just grasping at straws hoping its a easy fix.

allow the battery to drain and take it to a auto parts store like auto zone or checker, they can charge it and do a load test for free so you can rule that out.
