Long trips on the F4i? I'm talking really long
OK, so long trips. Lets see here.
This year we're thinking about riding the Blue Ridge Pkwy from the northern end in Front Royal, VA (it's actually Skyline Dr through the Shenandoah National Park and becomes the Blue Ridge in Afton, VA, but that's a moot point). It's hard to say if we'll be able to withstand the max speed of 45 mph. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Nice! I'm only a few miles north of Front Royal and have been riding Skyline for the last year. If you haven't ridden it before, I highly recommend NOT doing it on the weekend as traffic can reach "Ridiculous" levels quickly! Also would recommend dropping off at the 211 intersection @ Sperryville/Luray. Going down (and then back up) the mountain on either side is great fun!
As for age, in 1983 I wasn't exactly wearing diapers! Had more than few surprised expressions when a young 'un pulls up beside me at a light or (much more rarely) a nice young lady compliments the bike...
