Integrated tail light dangerous?
to make it easier for future members running into the same problem as i did, here's what i did.
first i took off the old brake light. it had two connectors with 3 wires each. each connector was for one of the two bulbs in the housing.
the rear turn signals had two wires for each light as well.
now onto the new brake light assembly:
i took the blue wire from the new brake light and plugged it into the location for the ORANGE wire on the orignal turn signal connector. I used JIMMY02F4i's picture for reference: https://cbrforum.com/forum/showpost....10&postcount=2
Then you replace the blue wire from the original turn signal harness with the YELLOW wire from the new brake light.
I just pushed the wires onto the pin for a quick test. Once i made sure the left signal light turned on with the left turn signal (and same thing for the right side), i removed the connector from the original turn signal harness and installed the new wires to it.
To do this, i used a small flat head screw driver and inserted it at the top of the connector and then pushed the pin towards the direction of the wires.
and for the brake lights, i just inserted that yellow connector into the bulb socket from the original taillight. at first i had it backwards because both turn signals came on at the same time like i had hazard blinking lights. flipped the connector around and everything worked fine.
